The members of our esteemed team of Pilates Instructor Trainers are accomplished and internationally sought-after educators known for their comprehensive knowledge, dedication and professionalism. Each hold full certification in the STOTT PILATES® method and have achieved additional designations to complement their training.

A diverse group, they come from varied backgrounds including physical therapy, exercise science, athletic therapy, dance, and group and personal fitness training to name a few. Every member of the team strives to uphold the highest standards of training that have been developed worldwide.

Bio

A former collegiate athlete and coach, Wendy Andersen, has been a professional educator for more than ten years. As owner of Victory Pilates, Wendy serves as an adjunct instructor and consultant to universities, professional schools and private studios and institutions around the Midwest, and has given presentations at conferences around the nation on the basic principles of Pilates and Pilates for Kids. Wendy also hosts a daily Pilates show on channel 5 CITY-TV in Lincoln, Nebraska. Wendy is a Merrithew® Lead Instructor Trainer specializing in STOTT PILATES® and CORE. She is also a Certified Post-Operative Breast Cancer Rehabilitative Specialist. Wendy holds a Masters degree in Exercise Science from the University of Nebraska Omaha as well as a Bachelor of Science degree in Education from Concordia University.

Bio

Zhang Xi is the Co-founder of Qing Jing Pilates and Gyrotonic Studio in Jinan, China. Before opening his Pilates studio, Zhang worked for a large corporate investment firm for seven years.

His passion for sports, exercise and movement led him to pursue a Bachelor’s of Education in Sports Training with a focus on the analytical method and technology of special exercises.

After graduating, he devoted himself to finding a more scientific and effective method of movement. He soon discovered STOTT PILATES® and was impressed by its well-rounded, incredibly detailed and thorough curriculum. Studying the method helped him develop a new way of thinking about exercise and movement. He became a STOTT PILATES Certified Instructor in 2017.

Zhang became a Merrithew® Instructor Trainer in 2021 specializing in STOTT PILATES Matwork and Reformer.

He looks forward to sharing his knowledge, passion and experience with other people who wish to develop a career in mindful movement.

Bio

Judy’s passion for exercise led to a range of injuries. Pilates enhanced Judy’s recovery and inspired her to become a Merrithew® Instructor Trainer specializing in STOTT PILATES®. In 2016, with two other STOTT PILATES Instructors, Judy co-founded Triangle Pilates Studios in Taiwan. As one of the few Pilates studios in the city, they’re excited to be sharing the benefits of Pilates with more people, helping them learn how to take good care of their bodies on a daily basis.

Bio

Ya-Cyuan Chen’s interest in Pilates stems from receiving orthopedic physical therapy after an ankle injury in high school. The success in her recovery inspired her to obtain her license in physical therapy in 2007; and it was not long after she began exploring mind and body exercises such as yoga and Pilates.

The mat exercises from Merrithew®'s STOTT PILATES® program convinced Ya-Cyuan Chen of the benefits of Pilates, and she completed her certification in STOTT PILATES and STOTT PILATES Rehab in 2011/2012.

In 2015, she co-founded Triangle Pilates Studio in Kaohsiung to inspire others in moving well and maintaining a healthy lifestyle. She also teaches at Merrithew Licensed Training Center, Alignment Fitness Studio.

Bio

Jennifer has been teaching the STOTT PILATES® method since 2005. In 2011, she completed her Full Certification and went on to become a Merrithew® Instructor Trainer for specializing in STOTT PILATES Rehab. She is also a qualified ZEN•GA® Instructor. Working as a physical therapist she is always in search of ways to solve the problems of pain, movement dysfunction, and motor control, and has practiced teaching Pilates clinically as a primary treatment for more than 8 years. Jennifer has conducted research on the effect of Pilates on low back pain and found that pain relief with Pilates was confirmed. Her belief is "movements solve movement problems". Over time, Jennifer becomes more and more enthusiastic about combining STOTT PILATES and ZEN•GA together for her clients’ treatment.
