Production Support Engineer

Position overview

We are looking for a proactive Production Support Engineer to join our team. This position plays a pivotal role in maintaining and improving our operational processes. The position will report to the Production Manager. This is a permanent position.

Major responsibilities

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop, update, and document Standard Operating Procedures
  • Ensure SOPs align with industry standards, regulatory requirements, and internal best practices
  • Regularly review and update existing SOPs to reflect process improvements and product changes
  • Collaborate with multiple departments like quality and purchasing
  • Leverage technical skills, with a preference for candidates with experience in a Manufacturing operation, to improve process efficiency
  • Provide designs for assembly jigs
  • Provide input and recommendations for tooling additions or improvements
  • Provide hands-on help with implementing changes in the production assembly
  • Prepare pre-production documentation verifying all information is complete
  • Demonstrate the ability to work independently, taking ownership of projects from initiation to completion
  • Communicate effectively with employees at all levels, from the production employees, lead hands, supervisor and functional management
  • Work on updating drawings using Solidworks CAD software and other documents outlined through the ECN process
  • Undertake additional duties as assigned

Skills and qualifications

  • University in Engineering, Manufacturing and other related programs
  • 2-3 years of relevant work experience
  • Proficiency in Solidworks CAD software & Microsoft Office applications
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team-oriented environment
  • Excellent time management skills to handle multiple projects simultaneously
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with diverse teams
  • Previous experience in SOP development in a manufacturing environment is an advantage
