Education Coordinator, Merrithew Corporate Training Center

Position overview

The Merrithew CTC Coordinator is responsible for assisting the Manager, CTC/Studio in the day-to-day operations of the Corporate Training Center. This includes administering the education programs, coordinating and executing training programs, and providing exceptional customer service to clients, instructors, and students. The Coordinator is responsible for tracking and monitoring student enrollment, scheduling, and providing support. The role involves assisting with sales efforts to increase revenue, recruiting new students and facilitating the success of educational programs. The ideal candidate should have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, great attention to detail, and experience in data entry and customer service, with a passion for the fitness industry. This position is on-site, located at Yonge & Eglinton.

Major responsibilities

Customer Service/Administrative Support

  • Building and maintaining relationships with students and clients
  • Responding to inquiries and complaints
  • Following up with potential leads for education opportunities
  • Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of programs and pricing
  • Resolving complaints and issues
  • Meeting or exceeding customer service targets and performance metrics
  • Identifying opportunities for improvement and making recommendations
  • Assisting with the enrollment process
  • Maintaining student files, records, and invoices
  • Tracking course completion
  • Maintaining course files and records
  • Tracking workshop, exams, and education privates completion
  • Maintaining workshop files and records
  • Assisting with day-to-day operations in the Studio when needed

Education Advisor

  • Assessing students' fitness backgrounds, interests, and goals
  • Advising prospective students on programs and requirements
  • Providing guidance on career development and continuing education opportunities
  • Collaborating with educational programming team
  • Participating in recruitment and outreach events
  • Participating in training and development programs

Business Planning & Sales

  • Assisting with sales and marketing efforts
  • Participating in marketing events
  • Coordinating with CTC manager to recommend courses
  • Ensuring scheduling is done in a timely and efficient manner
  • Ensuring courses are delivered on time
  • Tracking and monitoring student enrollment
  • Monitoring courses, Instructor Trainer evaluations, and feedback
  • Managing and maintaining course materials and equipment

Skills and qualifications

  • 2+ years customer service experience
  • Strong computer skills in Microsoft Office, Filemaker Pro or other database system
  • Ability to multi-task and respond to shifting priorities
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Post-secondary education in Business Administration or related discipline
  • Event Planning and/or Marketing experience an asset
  • Knowledge of fitness industry educational programs a plus
