New exercise ideas and equipment at 2019 IDEA World Convention

New at IDEA World 2019

With about 14,000 mind-body experts, personal trainers, group fitness instructors, club owners and managers in attendance every year, the IDEA World Convention in Anaheim, California from June 26-30 is one of the biggest and buzziest fitness industry events in the world.

The Merrithew team will be there to talk mindful movement, Pilates, interval training and athletic conditioning. Come meet the team at booth 1105, enter to win a Twist Ball and Folding Travel Mat, tag @Merrithew on social media and get ready to learn and expand your horizons at our fitness sessions.

2019 IDEA World Convention highlights

1. Pre-convention STOTT PILATES® workshop

Master Instructor Trainer Laureen DuBeau will be presenting STOTT PILATES Pilates with Props, Levels 1 & 2 at a pre-convention session on June 26. This CEC-qualified workshop will teach you how to increase the intensity and challenge of your Matwork routines using small props, like the Flex-Band®, Fitness Circle® and Toning Balls, to create fun and invigorating workouts for clients.

2. Find some new exercise ideas for your clients

For the first time, Merrithew will be participating in the IDEA World MEGA Circuit. The sweat-inducing, DJ-thumping event will see participants spend six minutes at each station where they’ll get to try out new pieces of equipment and learn new programming techniques. Merrithew Lead Instructor Trainer Adriana Rotella has designed a fast-paced interval session using the Halo® Trainer Plus with Stability Ball and the weighted Halo Trainer Plus 4 to get your heart pumping.

The multi-use piece can also be flipped over onto the curved side to be used for balance, coordination and control exercises.
