To maintain Certification, Instructors need CECs. For many, attending trainings and workshops at a nearby Licensed Training Center, Host Training Center, or the Corporate Training Center in Toronto is the easiest way to earn CEC credits.
But there are alternatives. Below are four ways to stay up-to-date with CECs you may not be aware of.
-
Video
Study a Merrithew® DVD and submit a 15-minute video of yourself teaching the subject matter for evaluation to earn CEC credits. DVD selections exclude the required DVDs for Certification courses. For each Merrithew DVD you review, submit a 15-minute video for evaluation for 0.1 CECs*. Digital videos can be submitted through merrithew.wetransfer.com or you can mail your recording on a brand-name DVD, such as Sony, to the Merrithew Corporate Training Center in Toronto. Each 15-minute video must be accompanied by a petition form.
-
Exercise Science Course
Take an anatomy, biomechanics, exercise physiology or other exercise science course or workshop and earn CECs. If it’s a not a STOTT PILATES course, simply submit a petition for acceptance. The workshop or course must be at least two hours. More than one non-STOTT PILATES petition can be submitted, but a maximum of 0.2 CECs will be awarded once approved.
