STOTT PILATES® and PTPN launch preferred vendor program

TORONTO, October 1, 2010 – STOTT PILATES® has joined forces with PTPN to become part of their Preferred Vendor Program. As a preferred vendor, STOTT PILATES will be the provider of high-caliber Pilates equipment and elite Pilates education to PTPN’s growing network of physical therapists.

“STOTT PILATES is delighted to be entering into this partnership with PTPN, and help bring safe and effective rehabilitation and post-rehab alternatives to the largest network of top physical therapists in the U.S.,” said Sandy Gardner, Vice President Sales & Customer Service.

As a gentle, no-impact method of exercise, Pilates is being embraced in the professional rehab community for injury management and prevention. With its endless restorative benefits and applications, Pilates can be personalized to meet the rehab goals of most people as they recover. It can be modified to address and rehabilitate specific issues to do with active aging, breast cancer rehab and sports injuries.

STOTT PILATES offers rehabilitation programming specifically designed for licensed physical therapists or occupational therapists, chiropractors and doctors of sports medicine. Often referred to as the “Ivy League” school of Pilates, STOTT PILATES provides in-depth knowledge that demonstrates how to appropriately integrate Pilates exercises into therapeutic conditioning.

PTPN is the nation’s premier specialty network of rehabilitation therapists in independent practice. It has led the rehabilitation industry in pioneering national contracting and quality assurance programs since 1985.The network has nearly 4,000 physical, occupational and speech therapists in more than 1,000 provider offices in 23 states. PTPN contracts with most of the major managed care organizations in the nation including insurers, workers’ compensation companies, PPOs, HMOs, medical groups, and IPAs. All members of PTPN must be independent practitioners who own their own practices.  For more information on PTPN, contact Stephen Moore at 818-737-0246 or go to ptpn.com
