Leading Pilates organization appoints VP to further business development worldwide
TORONTO, September 21, 2010 – With the success of The Merrithew Health & Fitness Group’s business development initiatives worldwide, the Company is proud to announce its Executive Director, Full Solutions™, Carol Tricoche, has been promoted to Vice President, Full Solutions. With over 17 years experience in the fitness industry, Ms. Tricoche has been instrumental to the success of Merrithew’s premier Pilates brand STOTT PILATES® and promoting educational programs across the globe as leader of the Full Solutions team.
“Our Full Solutions team is a group of seasoned fitness industry professionals that work with countless facilities big and small to help implement and run strong, profitable Pilates programs,” explains Lindsay G. Merrithew, President & CEO of The Merrithew Health & Fitness Group. “They provide a customized ROI analysis and one-on-one expert advice on everything from staffing, education, strategic marketing, equipment and studio layout scenarios, to ongoing support to ensure their Pilates success in the health club market.”
Tricoche joined the Company in July 2006 as Sales Manager, Full Solutions, and was promoted to Global Sales Director a year later. During her tenure, this division has contributed to the growth of the STOTT PILATES method of exercise with the addition of 15 new countries holding courses and workshops annually. “Essentially by listening to our customers’ needs, the Full Solutions team has developed turnkey sales approaches of STOTT PILATES products and services that have changed the way equipment is bundled,” adds Merrithew. “All without compromising the integrity of the brand or bottom line revenues.”
Tricoche’s new role involves identifying new sales perspectives, sales strategies and driving business growth by working with customer facilities, as well as STOTT PILATES business partners; Distributors and Licensed Training Centers. As a member of the executive team, she co-authored the 2010 Operating Plan and meets regularly with department leaders to ensure objectives are being executed. Working closely with Sandy Gardner, Vice President Sales and Customer Service, a large focus will be on the growth of the Rehab sector of the industry with equipment and education.
Prior to joining Merrithew, Tricoche spent five years as the Group Exercise/Pilates Director at the Claremont Club in California where she pioneered a successful Pilates program which continues to thrive today. During her time there, Tricoche gained invaluable experience and expertise in implementing Pilates programs from the ground up. Tricoche is a STOTT PILATES Certified Instructor and is a sought-after presenter at top fitness events around the globe.
