How to use the studio for

Practice and practice teaching

Practice/Practice teaching hours are determined monthly and can be found in the student lounge and with the education studio. All times are subject to change so please check with a studio coordinator.

Observation hours

Students are invited to observe sessions a part of their education requirement, with the prior permission of the studio coordinator. When observing sessions, students are expected to discreetly observe while taking notes, so as not to distract the class or the Instructor. Please refrain from talking to fellow students during this time. Also note, there are times when the studio is at capacity, we recommended that you call in advance to ensure the availability to observe.

Attending classes

Students are welcome to join client group classes. Two students are permitted in each class if space permits. Weekly sign-up sheet is available at the studio front-desk, but students must check with a studio coordinator the same day if there is room in the class. Clients take priority in last-minute bookings. Students can participate in group classes free of charge during the duration of their course or course bundle. After the course(s) has ended, students can purchase a group class – 10 pack at a 25% discount through the studio coordinators. Students can also keep track of classes and their availability using the group class schedule available at the front-desk and by checking the Merrithew® Studio website.

Students are welcome to take Group Matwork classes provided they have completed the Essential Matwork portion of the course and Group Reformer classes if the Essential Reformer portion of the course or ten hours of private reformer training have been completed.
