STOTT PILATES® Conditioning for Golf & Rotational Power on the V2 Max Plus™ Reformer


Getting ready for the golf season just got easier with this new focus and conditioning program on the V2 Max Plus Reformer developed by the programming specialists at Merrithew. Beginning with standing warmup drills, we examine the breath and how it can be optimized to effectively bring mental focus to the game. Next, we analyze the biomechanics of an excellent golf swing by bringing awareness to the neuromuscular, skeletal and fascial systems to develop the proper patterning for efficiency and power.

Exercises used by the world’s leading golf professionals are adapted to the multi-functional Reformer, which provides support and added resistance while challenging balance. Learn how to use this innovative material to increase mobility with stability of the hips and shoulder girdle, while stabilizing the knees and ankles in order to implement the necessary torso rotation for an efficient swing.

Learning objectives

  1. Apply the STOTT PILATES Five Basic Principles to modified exercises on the V2 Max Plus Reformer.
  2. Explore specific exercises designed for golf conditioning, including a standing warm-up.
