Exercise of the Month: Single Leg Twist with Halo®

Work on your tuck twist progression with this challenging Single Leg Twist. Watch Merrithew Master Instructor Trainer Wayne Seeto demonstrate each movement on the Halo® Trainer Plus that will help strengthen your core, obliques and stability of the shoulder girdle, as well as challenge rotation control of the pelvis.

Tips to remember

  • Keep the Stability Ball as still as possible and the shoulders square. The torso should be controlled as you create movement through the pelvis and low back
  • You can make this harder or easier by adjusting the placement of the Stability Ball
  • Avoid excessive flexion or lateral flexion of the spine during rotation
  • Ensure your hips don’t dip
