Question: Which shows the correct position?

Photo A

Photo A

Photo B

Photo B

Answer: Photo B is correct.

In Photo B, our model is maintaining alignment through the center of the hip, knee, and ankle joints, with both legs working equally. Her heels are relatively still in space, and they are not dropping significantly on the press out. She is maintaining weight equally across the balls of the feet, and has an appropriate degree of plantar flexion.

While in Photo A, our model is dropping her ankles, and her weight is not equally maintained across the balls of the feet. She is not keeping proper alignment through the center of the hip, knee and ankle joints.
