Our Master Instructor Trainers (MITs) have busy schedules teaching programming and sharing wisdom with our community – and we admittedly pepper them with a lot of movement related questions all the time. This month, in preparation for the Merrithew™ Mindful Movement Symposium in the UK, we decided to change it up a bit by asking them some fun personal questions instead!

1. Snacks- Since I’m pretty much hungry all the time, I always carry snacks with me. Raisins, dried figs, dried apricots and mango, almonds, peanuts, walnuts, sunflower and pumpkin seeds, chocolate bars, candy (what can I say, I’m not always a healthy eater!). Alone or mixed up together, I keep them close by at all times. You never know when lunch is still four hours away!
2. A Merrithew™ 7.5” Mini Stability Ball Not only is it compact and easy to carry, it makes a great prop for workouts in the hotel room or even on the plane. The best part is that it doubles as an excellent air-travel pillow – absorbs vibration, is soft and comfy, and doesn’t end up squishing between the seat and the window, then being gone forever!
3. Hand sanitizer - Traveling can be germy business and there isn’t always the opportunity to wash with soap and water. A travel-size bottle of the gel helps keep those international bugs from getting into my system.
4. Noise-cancelling headphones - These are awesome when flying, or even just hanging out in very noisy environments. They keep the ambient noise down which is a huge factor in reducing jet-lag. I can plug them into the on-board entertainment system or my computer when I’m reviewing the newest Merrithew™ dvd program.
5. A flashlight - A strange hotel room in another country is not where you want to be in a blackout. Although it’s only happened once, I like to be prepared!
