Merrithew, along with a team of physical therapists, sports medicine and fitness professionals, have spent over two decades refining the STOTT PILATES method of exercise and equipment. This resulted in the inclusion of modern principles of exercise science and spinal rehabilitation, making it one of the safest and effective methods available. To date there are over 29,000 individuals trained in the STOTT PILATES method from 106 countries; as well as 54 Licensed Training Centers across the globe, and Corporate Training Centers in Toronto, New York and Denver.

Marina Glogovac immigrated to Canada in 1987 from her native Belgrade where she worked as a journalist and writer, and also had a background in competitive athletics and dance. Before she ventured into the business world in North America, Marina spent three years as a principal performer for the highly-acclaimed theatre company Moebius – a physical theatre group that practiced a fusion of mime and dance as developed and taught by French choreographer Etienne Decroux. Their avant-garde performances received rave reviews worldwide from Hong Kong to New York's off-Broadway in the eighties.

In subsequent years, she oversaw the development of many successful and iconic media brands, including serving as Vice President and Group Publisher at St. Joseph Media and Key Media in Toronto. Prior to joining Lavalife, she worked as an associate of Cue Ball, a U.S.-based management consultancy in the media and entertainment industries.
