Instructor Trainers

The STOTT PILATES® Faculty, or members of our esteemed team of Instructor Trainers, is made up of highly qualified and internationally sought-after educators who are known for their dedication, professionalism and attention to detail.   All of our faculty members hold full certification in the STOTT PILATES method and have achieved additional designations to complement their training. A diverse group, they come from various backgrounds including physical therapy, exercise science, athletic therapy, dance and group and personal fitness training to name a few. Every member of the team strives to uphold the highest standards of training that have been developed worldwide.

Aimee McDonald-Anderson

Equilibrium Mind-Body Fitness
Ann Arbor, Michigan USA

Aimee McDonald Anderson received her STOTT PILATES® certification in 1999 and became a certified Instructor Trainer for Merrithew Health & Fitness™ specializing in STOTT PILATES in 2007. She holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Dance from the University of Michigan, and it is through dance that she first discovered Pilates. 

Aimee is the owner of The Movement Center in Ann Arbor, Michigan, Gyrotonic Ann Arbor, and founder and choreographer for Terpsichore's Kitchen Dance Theatre. With her passion for dance and her wide ranging experience in teaching movement, Aimee is dedicated to increasing her clients’ fitness, while focusing on their mind-body awareness.

Amanda Fletcher

ONE Pilates Studio

Amanda received her introduction to the STOTT PILATES® method as part of her own physical therapy regimen after a number of knee surgeries. She found enjoyment in the exercise and developed a desire to share the benefits with others. In 2007 she achieved her STOTT PILATES® Full Certification and the next year she moved on to become an Instructor Trainer for Merrithew Health & Fitness™, specializing in STOTT PILATES. Amanda’s focus with her clients is to help them achieve strength and flexibility, and with sensitivity to their varying needs, she is able to guide clients of all ages and fitness levels toward their personal fitness goals.

Amanda Kitchen

Amanda first became STOTT PILATES® Certified in 2004 and in 2005, moved on to become a Certified Instructor Trainer for Merrithew Health & Fitness™, specializing in STOTT PILATES.  She has an extensive background as a fitness instructor, and likes to combine her STOTT PILATES teaching with her successful personal training and sports massage business.

Amy de Schweinitz


Anchorage, Alaska US

After training for 4 years with Michaela Bimbi-Dresp in Munich, Germany, Amy de Schweinitz obtained her STOTT PILATES® Certification in 2004.  In 2007, she became a Certified Instructor Trainer for Merrithew Health & Fitness™, specializing in STOTT PILATES, and enabling her to teach worldwide.  With a BSc in Kinesiology and Sport Science, Amy was able to complement her studies as a competitive runner and triathlete.  She found that Pilates was a huge asset to her success as an athlete, thus it launched her career in Pilates.  Amy is now certified by the Pilates Method Alliance and is an ACE Certified Trainer.  As an international Certified Health Coach, Amy is passionate about using Pilates to help people feel good in their bodies and have the best quality of life.

Amy Provonost

Amy Pronovost received her BA in Dance and English from Western Michigan University.  She is currently an Instructor Trainer for Merrithew Health & Fitness specializing in STOTT PILATES, a Level 1 Gyrotonic instructor, a 200- hour registered yoga teacher and an ACE certified Group Instructor Trainer. She has been teaching at Equilibrium in Bloomfield Hills, MI since 2000.  She has also taught ballet for fifteen years and currently has students performing around the world and on Broadway.
