Real Pilates

REAL PILATES’s Jumeirah Lakes Towers (JLT) is conveniently located in new Dubai, with easy access to Sheikh Zayed Road and the Dubai Metro. The studio opened its door for the first time in December 2011 and in January 2013, expanded again with an annex studio also in JLT. This state-of-the-art, fully STOTT PILATES® equipped exercise studios are clean, spacious, bright and the interiors are designed to give you the kind of feeling you would experience walking into a truly Zen garden in Kyoto. It also features welcoming reception areas, group Pilates mat and equipment rooms and private/semi-private Pilates training rooms, complete with lockers, showers and washrooms facilities. Ample free parking is available in the front of the building and on the lake level.

REAL PILATES was the proud winner of the 2012 What's On Dubai Awards for "Best Gym".

The Intensive Program

The STOTT PILATES Intensive program is for fitness and health professionals. This program prepares you to teach STOTT PILATES Level 1 Matwork and equipment-based repertoires safely, effectively and with confidence.

The Comprehensive Program

Designed for those with some movement training and exposure to Pilates, Comprehensive courses cover functional anatomy and the practical skills needed to develop effective and motivating Level 1 Matwork and equipment-based programs.

The Advanced Program

The Advanced program consists of Level 2 courses in Matwork, Reformer, and Cadillac, Chair & Barrels. Completion of the Advanced program is required for full certification.

Injuries & Special Populations

The STOTT PILATES Injuries & Special Populations course equips you with the skills required to address a broad range of physical challenges among your clients. Completion of ISP is required for full certification.

The Rehabilitation Program

The Rehabilitation program is specifically for licensed physical therapists, occupational therapists, sports medicine professionals and chiropractors wishing to integrate modified STOTT PILATES exercises for injury prevention and rehabilitation into their practices.

ZEN•GA Courses

ZEN•GA™ is an innovative fusion of exercise science and mindful movement that brings about clarity of the mind while releasing body tension through purposeful movement. Take your workouts to the next level with our CORE Athletic Conditioning & Performance Training– developed exclusively by Merrithew Health & Fitness™ experts.  This unique training program focuses on functional fitness targeting core strength and kinesthetic awareness leading to improvements in total-body strength and power. This multi-layered system is designed for both novice and high-level athletes.

Total Barre™ Courses

Total Barre™ is a high-energy program that focuses on strength, flexibility, stamina and dynamic stability by combining elements from Pilates, dance, cardio and strength training. Programming is driven by music which increases coordination, motivation and improve movement quality. Incorporating the Total Barre Foundational Principles, this program teaches choreography, exercise essence and correct biomechanics of movements as well as how to cue effectively and safely to music.

STOTT PILATES workshops designed for Pilates instructors and fitness professionals, are ideal as an introduction into the method or as continuing education. All workshops qualify for Continuing Education Credits through both STOTT PILATES and ACE and none have prerequisites.

The intensive courses are recommended for certified fitness instructors, personal trainers, and other fitness & health professionals who want to expand their knowledge and enhance their business. Applicants must have, at least three years experience teaching fitness, dance or movement, familiarity with the works of Joseph Pilates, formal anatomy training and a working knowledge of muscle origins, insertions and functions, in order to attend the course.
A Note Regarding Exams:
You are not obliged to write (and pay for) two exams if you are planning to take both courses. You may choose to wait until completion of the second course to write your exam (a combined Matwork and Reformer exam). If you prefer to pause between courses, you may choose to take an exam to become certified in Matwork only, and another exam (a combined Matwork and Reformer exam) after completing the second course to become certified in Reformer work. In this case two exam fees would apply.
