Runner Series: Side Splits: Platform Leg Pressing & Carriage Leg Pressing

This exercise challenges balance and works on the abductors.

It also works the lateral rotators, which is important for runners who often focus only on forward and back movements of the legs.

Instead of holding the traditional plie position for this exercise, have the client lean forward slightly to give the hip flexors a break and add a stretch to the Achilles tendons and calf muscles.

Hi Crystal, thanks for reaching out with your question! I've asked David and Bianca, and their answer is below.

"We used 3/4 springs, but it can be done with 1 spring for further challenging the ABDUCTORS or 1/2 spring to challenge the ADDUCTORS."

    Hope this helps!
