Stability Cushion™ Spotlight
Whether large or small, Stability Cushions can intensify and challenge your workout.
Stability Cushions are available in two sizes, each of which lends itself extremely well to a variety of programming options. The unstable nature of the Stability Cushions enhance stability, strength and balance with exercises in standing, sitting, kneeling, supine or prone positions. Small green cushions (36cm or 14" diameter) or a large blue one (50cm or 20" diameter) are perfect for use with everyone from post-rehab clients to professional athletes.
When lying supine, place a single small Cushion under the sacrum with the upper back resting on the Mat, or support the head and shoulders with a second Cushion for additional challenge. Intensify abdominal work by stacking two small Cushions and allowing the upper torso to extend back over them for a full-range Ab Prep.
The Stability Cushions can also be used in kneeling positions. With two small Cushions, place one under each knee to help recruit local and global stabilizers of the lumbar spine and pelvis, as well as the hip joints. On one Cushion, knees can be placed closer together or farther apart for targeted muscle recruitment.
Whether exercising with large or small Stability Cushions, adding other props can enhance upper-body resistance. Toning Balls™, Soft Dumbbells, Mini Handweights or even Medicine Balls can also be included to get a true full-body workout.
