Amy Elliotte

This edition of the Partner Profile features Amy  Elliotte, a STOTT PILATES® Certified Level 1 Instructor from Atlanta, Georgia.  Amy responded to our question “Did you choose STOTT PILATES as your education for a career change to a Pilates Instructor?” which was posted on Facebook October 25, 2012.

After suffering from back pain for many years, Amy embarked on a journey to address the pain she experienced as a result of injury and pregnancy.  She was first introduced to STOTT PILATES® training from a close friend who knew of a studio opening up down the street from Amy.  After reading articles about the studio and Pilates Amy thought “How bad can it be if you can do it lying down?”  Amy took Pilates classes for around a year and the changes in her body were amazing and she was hooked.  The owner of the studio suggested that Amy become a STOTT PILATES Certified Instructor to share her passion for Pilates to others.  Amy became a Level 1 STOTT PILATES Certified Instructor in 2012.

Wanting to help others who experience back pain, Amy is in the process of opening a home-based studio, Body Revolution, in the early months of 2013.  So far her favourite moment as an instructor is seeing the “light bulbs” go off when a client achieves the true essence of an exercise and they can feel the difference it makes.  Amy feels an indescribable joy from challenging herself to figure out a client's learning style and then adapting her cuing skills to fit their needs so that they experience success.

Amy is currently looking forward to becoming a fully Certified Instructor.  She is traveling to the Corporate Training Center in Toronto in January to audit all of the Level 2 modules in preparation for her Level 2 exam.
