Vivendi Entertainment and STOTT PILATES® enter Canadian distribution agreement for STOTT PILATES consumer DVD titles

TORONTO, November 4, 2008 – Vivendi Entertainment Canada and STOTT PILATES announced today they have entered into an exclusive home DVD distribution agreement for STOTT PILATES consumer DVD titles in Canada. The agreement between the two leading companies will begin November 21, 2008. The entire back catalogue of STOTT PILATES consumer fitness DVDs will be available at that time, with several new releases to follow.

STOTT PILATES offers a single source for high-caliber Pilates education, DVDs and equipment and has earned a global reputation as the most respected Pilates brand with unrivaled credibility in the fitness industry. It boasts the world’s largest Pilates DVD library with over 120 award-winning titles in multiple languages for both consumers and Pilates instructors. With more than 50 bilingual consumer DVDs in its library, STOTT PILATES offers fitness programming for all ages and stages including special needs like pre- and post-natal, sport conditioning, active aging, and more.

Pilates is a form of non-impact exercise designed to lengthen, strengthen and balance the body, with a focus on core strength. Originally developed by Joseph Pilates during World War I to help prisoners of war regain strength and mobility, Pilates is a favorite exercise activity of celebrities and professional athletes alike and has become one of today’s most popular fitness pastimes: Pilates participation in North America has grown over 600 per cent since 2001, with more than 10.7 million North Americans participating in some form of Pilates.

“STOTT PILATES is excited to be entering this new partnership with Vivendi Entertainment,” said Lindsay G. Merrithew, president and CEO of STOTT PILATES and the company’s co-founder. “Through its extensive distribution network, Vivendi Entertainment offers significant exposure for our consumer DVD titles that will help more Canadians to benefit from our contemporary approach to mind-body fitness.”

“We are delighted to be partnering with the STOTT PILATES team to bring one of today’s hottest exercise methods into the homes of Canadians,” said Iain Taylor, Vice President, Sales and Acquisitions, Vivendi Entertainment Canada. “STOTT PILATES is a leader in the Pilates field and has developed a global reputation for quality and innovation.”
