Job summary
- Provide Pilates instruction to include free prospect intro classes, group apparatus classes, private and semi-private training as scheduled by a management and pursuant to Club Pilates standards
- Visually inspect the equipment prior to the beginning of class to ensure equipment is in good working order and safe to use
- Responsible for studio tidiness and returning equipment to standards set by studio management
- Must arrive 15 minutes prior to the beginning of each scheduled class or private/semi-private session
- Participate in networking/community events as needed and studio promotions to generate new business
- Stay up to date with, and implement Club Pilates education standards at all times
- Maintain honesty and integrity
- Help Sell Memberships and Retail (will be asked to wear Club Pilates branded clothing and to announce sales)
- Any other duties as assigned
Job requirements
With more than 50 classes a week, you’ll enjoy block class scheduling to maximize pay and time.
- For Instructor, 450 hour comprehensive Pilates education (Minimum education to include; Mat, Reformer, Chair, Springboard. Proof of certification required
- For Apprentice/Jr. Instructor, 250 hours and minimum Mat & Reformer certified. Willingness to enroll in and complete Chair and Springboard modules of Club Pilates Teacher Training or another pre-approved school within 6 months of hire
- Demonstrate anatomical knowledge and focus on safety
- Pleasant demeanor and excellent customer service skills
- Experience ideally teaching 6 or more participants in an apparatus based group class (will consider smaller class sizes as Club Pilates is very unique in the class size being larger)
- Maintain open availability for a minimum of 5 hours per week (ideally)
- Professional and effective communication skills
- Proven Sales abilities for both memberships and ideally retail (will be trained though on Club Pilates methods if not experience)
- In depth understanding of the benefits of Pilates and what sets Club Pilates apart from other Pilates studios (Club Pilates benefits will be taught)
- Willingness to evolve with new developments in the fitness industry, specifically Pilates
- Comfortable adding to teaching repertoire (which will be taught in the Onboarding Training)
- Team player
- Passion for learning and willingness to attend continued education trainings and seminars
- Punctual and reliable
- Ability to implement and streamline new procedures in a diverse environment
- Ability to recognize areas of improvement and pro-actively communicate with management
- Consistently uses excellent judgment
