Job summary

Sac Pilates Studio is local and female owned, and located in the Sierra Oaks neighborhood. Our teaching is a contemporary approach to the original work of Joseph Pilates and updated based on modern principles of exercise, science and rehabilitation. The schedule is full of Sacramento’s most diverse collection of small group classes and private training. Our goal is to sculpt your body to be stable and strong to the core. Get ready for deep, full body strength building and conditioning in a chic, sophisticated atmosphere. We are conveniently located on Fair Oaks Blvd, across from the Pavilions. Just a few minutes drive from East Sacramento, Carmichael and Arden neighborhoods.

Sac Pilates Studio is a small, boutique studio located in the established Sierra Oaks neighborhood in Sacramento, California. We are seeking candidates with a desire to build a career in the Pilates field. We offer private, semi-private (duets and trios) and small class instruction. We have seven reformers all equipped with the tower conversion (six for group class and one in separate private session room), four chairs, a ladder barrel and a variety of small props.

Priding ourselves in our excellent team of instructors, we are looking to add a couple of instructors to our team. The ideal candidate will have experience working with clients of all ages and abilities.

Job requirements

  • Current full apparatus Pilates Certification
  • Experience teaching group classes
  • Ability to demonstrate effective group reformer instruction
  • Capable of using a contemporary approach to fundamental movements
  • Reliable and motivated
  • Desire to build a successful following of students
  • Focus on customer service, including professional and effective communication skills
  • Experience with MindBody software and/or the ability to learn new systems
  • Providing Pilates group reformer classes using all apparatus
  • Instructing clients (up to 6 clients per class) using proper form and safe methods on a variety of equipment including, but not limited to, Reformer, Stability Chair, Tower to ensure a safe, yet creative experience.
  • Conducting private, semi-private, demo or other additional sessions as needed
  • Visually inspecting the equipment prior to each class to ensure it is in good working order and safe to use
  • Maintaining a clean and orderly workout environment
  • Assisting with membership sales and checking clients in
  • Building studio revenue by promoting retail and membership sales & services
