Using breath to promote focus and the quality of movement, learn innovative movement transitions and discover sequences designed to increase overall body conditioning and control. Exercises are selected to improve strength and stability along with flexibility and suppleness.

Learning Objectives

  1. Apply STOTT PILATES Five Basic Principles to select Matwork exercises.
  2. Understand how Matwork can be presented in a flowing sequence.
  3. Learn how to create a dance-like routine using Matwork exercises.
  4. Discover how to create simple programs that do not require props or equipment.
