The STOTT PILATES® Split-Pedal Stability Chair™ offers personal trainers and group fitness instructors expanded programming options within a small footprint. Discover the capabilities and features, and explore how the split-pedal option can give challenges by bilateral, unilateral and reciprocal exercises. Explore functional exercises, developed by the Merrithew™ team, to train core stability in a variety of positions, including standing, sitting, as well as lying prone and supine.

Learning objectives

  1. Apply the STOTT PILATES Five Basic Principles to select Stability Chair exercises.
  2. Understand how the split-pedal function alters stability and coordination requirements.
  3. Learn how to improve core stability and increase peripheral strength safely using the Stability Chair.
  4. Learn cues and corrections for safety and effectiveness.
