Additional credentials and designations
Sheri’s first career was as a college professor after earning her Ph.D. from Harvard University. She loved teaching, but her passion was sports and wellness rather than economics. She began training in Pilates in 2002 to help balance her posture and improve her strength for equestrian, and right away she appreciated how it improved her performance in many aspects of her athleticism. Later, Pilates proved invaluable when rehab was required for running injuries. In 2007, she became certified in STOTT PILATES®, and now is a Lead Instructor Trainer for Merrithew™ specializing in STOTT PILATES, Total Barre®, CORE™ and Halo® Training. Building on her love of teaching, she holds ACE certifications in personal training and health coaching, and is a running coach for USA Track & Field.
