Erin has suffered from autoimmune disease and CNS disorder since childhood, conditions for which she has sought a variety of treatments since the age of 10. She discovered that Joseph Pilates suffered similar maladies during his childhood and successfully fought his physical problems with his own unique methods of exercise therapy, and this inspired her to learn more about Pilates. She loved it, and decided to go to the Corporate Training Center in Toronto to deepen her knowledge of the biomechanically-based STOTT PILATES® method. She also co-taught classes at the CTC.
Erin and her husband run PILATES THE FIT in Seoul, South Korea, which is one of the largest and most beautiful Pilates studios in the country. PILATES THE FIT was featured on the Merrithew blog in a post titled "Stunning Pilates Studios From Around the World.” PILATES THE FIT’s education program specializes in providing an exclusive system of support for students. Erin remains an active member and a supporter of the Korean Fibromyalgia Patient Society, the Korean Multiple Sclerosis Society and the Korean Organization of Rare Diseases.
Erin’s passion for Pilates and her first-hand understanding of its benefits have helped many people both in Canada and Korea live a healthier and more active lifestyle.
