Instructor Trainer bios

The STOTT PILATES® Faculty, or members of our esteemed team of Instructor Trainers, is made up of highly qualified and internationally sought-after educators who are known for their dedication, professionalism and attention to detail. All of our faculty members hold full certification in the STOTT PILATES method and have achieved additional designations to complement their training. A diverse group, they come from various backgrounds including physical therapy, exercise science, athletic therapy, dance and group and personal fitness training to name a few. Every member of the team strives to uphold the highest standards of training that have been developed worldwide.

Bio

Originally from Thailand, Khingporn worked in the hospitality industry in Bangkok for many years before deciding upon a career in fitness.  She took her STOTT PILATES® courses at Vitruvian Pilates Studio, where she became a Certified Instructor in 2006.  Two years later, she became an Instructor Trainer for Merrithew™ specializing in STOTT PILATES and can still be found at Vitruvian teaching students.

Bio

Kim first received her certification as an Instructor Trainer for Merrithew™ specializing in STOTT PILATES® Rehab in 2007 and is now a Lead Instructor Trainer specializing in Injuries & Special Populations and Rehabilitation. An American Physical Therapy Association Orthopedic Certified Specialist, Kim has Masters Degrees in Manual/Orthopedic Physical Therapy and Sports Physical Therapy, as well as a PhD in Instructional Technology.  Kim is also an Associate Professor at Wayne State University’s Department of Physical Therapy, an international presenter and has been published on Physical Therapy topics.  With extensive experience in applying the STOTT PILATES principles to clients with injuries and impairments, Kim uses the method with clients at Equilibrium as well as providing evaluation and consultation for acute performing arts and sports injuries.

Bio

Kim has built an impressive reputation as an expert and leader in the health and wellness industry. She is a Merrithew Master Instructor Trainer and an integral member of the Programming/Education team, representing STOTT PILATES®, ZEN•GA®, CORE Athletic Conditioning & Performance Training, and Total Barre programming. Kim is the proud owner of one of the first STOTT PILATES Licensed Training Centers in Canada.

She presents on behalf of Merrithew throughout North America and internationally at conferences and trade events, and is featured in several new Merrithew DVD releases. Kim studied at York University where she received her B.F.A. in Dance/B.Ed. and completed her B.Sc. Kinesiology at Dalhousie University. She is also a Yamuna Body Rolling Certified Instructor Trainer, and Certified Franklin Method Instructor.

Bio

Kimber McQueen is the Program Director and Owner of BALANCE: Pilates Training Center in Richmond, VA. She has a BFA in Performance and Choreography from Virginia Commonwealth University and a BA in Sociology from James Madison University. While rehabilitating a broken foot, Kimber discovered Pilates and was instantly hooked. In May of 1999, she received her certification in STOTT PILATES®, and opened her studio later that year. In 2004, Kimber was invited to become an Instructor Trainer for Merrithew™ specializing in STOTT PILATES, and that August, BALANCE was named the Licensed Training Center of Virginia. She became a Total Barre™ IT in 2013, along with her qualifications in ZENGA™ Mat and CORE™ Athletic Conditioning & Performance Training™. During her career, Kimber has had the pleasure of working with clients of all fitness levels and abilities— from professional athletes to those with special issues and everyone in between. It this experience that has resulted in the development of a clear and precise teaching style dedicated to helping her clients achieve measurable results.

Bio

Kimberlee has been studying and teaching the STOTT PILATES® method since 2002,  and in 2007 went on to become an Instructor Trainer for Merrithew™, specializing in STOTT PILATES Mat and Reformer. Kimberlee's passion is teaching and she holds a Master's in Education from Lesley University. In 2006 she started a successful Pilates program at LifeBridge Health and Fitness in Baltimore, MD, where she currently teaches full-time. In 2008, LBHF became a Licensed Training Center satellite affiliated with Northeast Pilates. Kimberlee is also a Total Barre™, and ZEN•GA™ instructor, and teaches Mad Dogg Spinning, TRX®, and  Yoga.
