Instructor Trainers

The STOTT PILATES® Faculty, or members of our esteemed team of Instructor Trainers, is made up of highly qualified and internationally sought-after educators who are known for their dedication, professionalism and attention to detail. All of our faculty members hold full certification in the STOTT PILATES method and have achieved additional designations to complement their training. A diverse group, they come from various backgrounds including physical therapy, exercise science, athletic therapy, dance and group and personal fitness training to name a few. Every member of the team strives to uphold the highest standards of training that have been developed worldwide.

Bio
Carolyn first trained with STOTT PILATES® in 1999 and followed the path to become a fully certified Instructor in 2007. A few months after, she became an Instructor Trainer for Merrithew. She currently teaches at C2 Pilates Training Center, a Merrithew Licensed Training Center.

Bio
Cate Vallone is an Instructor Trainer for Merrithew, specializing in Total Barre®, ZEN•GA®, and Halo® and is a Lead Instructor Trainer for STOTT PILATES®. She has been teaching Pilates and somatic education in clinical and studio settings for more than 15 years, with a focus in post-rehabilitation and athletic conditioning. She currently owns two Pilates studios in the Greater Hartford, Connecticut Area. Cate graduated from Boston University in 1999 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Human Movement Education. In addition to her Pilates education, Cate has been trained in Craniosacral Therapy, Kinesiotaping, and Continuum Movement.

Bio

Caterina began her STOTT PILATES® education in 2005, received her full certification in 2011 and became an Instructor Trainer for Merrithew specializing in STOTT PILATES in 2013. She was introduced to the STOTT PILATES method during her years as a personal trainer and fitness instructor. Caterina is devoted to helping people find a pain-free way to stay healthy and active.

Bio

Cathy began her Pilates journey when she was looking for exercise to relieve her serious back pain. She started teaching after becoming a Certified STOTT PILATES® Instructor in 2009. Her passion for Pilates and postural realignment continue to be the driving force behind her helping clients to enjoy exercise and improve their physical condition. Cathy has extensive experience in teaching a wide range of clients of all ages and backgrounds, including older adults and those recovering from surgery. She became a STOTT PILATES® Instructor Trainer in 2017, as well as a Certified Franklin Method Level One Educator.
