STOTT PILATES® Matwork Flow with Weights

This innovative Mat workout, one of the series of flowing sequences developed by the
 Merrithew team, promotes breath to enhance the quality of movement, energizing 
the body and calming the mind. Small handheld weights are incorporated into this 
challenging flowing series creating a greater awareness of the periphery, while the 
essential breath patterns maintain mindfulness of the quality of movement.

STOTT PILATES® Athletic Conditioning on the Mat

This workshop developed by the Merrithew team demonstrates dynamic movements
 that take full advantage of the body’s own weight and gravity. Guaranteed to develop
 ultimate strength and stability particularly through the core this workshop features an 
intense abdominal series, sequences with rotation and mobilization as well as a section 
dedicated to front and side planks. Learn mat-based sequences in an interval format
 that increase in speed and intensity and work through the local and global stabilizing 
and mobilizing systems.

ZEN•GA® Flowing Sequences

Develop the grace of a dancer and the power of a warrior, with this mindful workout
 that combines elements of movement and flow with a deep awareness of connection 
and control. Created by the experts at Merrithew, this session promises to increase circulation, stimulate the central nervous system, and improve flexibility all while strengthening the mind-body connection. The fluid floor-based sequences feature a greater focus on core strength, balance and coordination.

STOTT PILATES® Conditioning Towel Workout

This simple Pilates-based routine developed by the Merrithew team uses the support and resistance of a Conditioning Towel to maintain form. Ideal for those who are less flexible, the towel assists in helping increase range of motion of the joints and allows muscles to lengthen effectively. Scapular and shoulder stability are highlighted while core strength and stability are enhanced, enabling better performance in other physical activities.

Laureen DuBeau
Master Instructor Trainer

Laureen is an integral member of a dynamic team responsible for the global development and implementation of training and certification programs. Her spirited approach to teaching has made Laureen a vibrant international presenter, trainer and examiner. An NSCA certified Strength & Conditioning Specialist and a Pink Ribbon certified instructor, she began teaching Pilates in 1995, and is now a Merrithew Master Instructor Trainer specializing in STOTT PILATES®, ZEN•GA®, Total Barre®, Halo® Training and Merrithew Fascial Movement. Laureen is a featured performer and associate producer of many Merrithew DVDs, the associate editor of numerous teaching manuals and author of articles in several industry publications.

Prior to joining Merrithew, Laureen worked for Tennis Canada where she was responsible for Canadian and international public relations in the capacity of media relations and communications, player relations and event organization. Laureen studied Dance and Physical Education at York University in Toronto where she graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts.

Carol Earle

Carol Earle
Lead Instructor Trainer

Carol is a Merrithew Lead Instructor Trainer specializing in all branded programming, including: STOTT PILATES®, Total Barre®, ZEN•GA®, Halo® Training, CORE and Merrithew Fascial Movement. She is also part of the ZEN•GA and CORE programming teams. She has been an Instructor Trainer since 2003, and is based out of New England’s Northeast Pilates Education Center. Carol received her BFA in Dance from SUNY Purchase, and ran her own dance company for over a decade, performing and teaching throughout New England. Carol is currently on the faculty of the Dance Department at Endicott College, where she teaches a “Mind, Body and Awareness” course. She is certified and has trained in several other fitness brands, including a 200 HR (RYT) Yoga Certification, Personal Training, TRX and TRX Rip-Trainer, Zumba, SPINNING and Indo-Row. Carol lives in Gloucester, MA with her daughter, mother and dog, and her hobbies include cycling around the North Shore of Massachusetts, gardening and cooking with local produce.
