STOTT PILATES® Certified Instructor for Merrithew® Studio

Position overview

Merrithew® Studio is seeking a professional, experienced and dynamic STOTT PILATES® Fully Certified Instructor to join our team. The successful candidate must be a Fully Certified STOTT PILATES Instructor with a minimum of 100 hours of teaching experience. They will have a passion for Pilates, and the desire to motivate clients of all ages, abilities, fitness levels, and backgrounds. We are looking for a highly motivated, compassionate, patient, and creative individual who can lead and design tailored one-on-one sessions, semi-private sessions, and small group classes using all Merrithew equipment. A desire to continue learning and training in other Merrithew branded education is an asset.
This is an Independent Contractor opportunity.


Major responsibilities

  • Teaching private, semi-private and small group exercise sessions – with part-time and full-time positions available
  • Creating customized exercise programs based on the individual assessment and needs of the client
  • Advising clients on what type of session or package may be most appropriate for them
  • Participating in sampling products from the Merrithew production team and writing reviews
  • Actively participating in the marketing strategies of the Merrithew Studio

Skills and qualifications

  • STOTT PILATES Full Certification (Matwork/Reformer/CCB Level 1 & 2 & ISP)
  • Up-to-date annual STOTT PILATES Continuing Education Credits (CECs)
  • Minimum 100 hours of experience teaching group classes and private client sessions
  • Ability to design and lead superior-quality classes and one-on-one sessions to support membership retention and sales
  • Professional appearance, positive demeanor, and excellent work ethic
  • Ability to commit and be consistently punctual
  • Scheduling flexibility will also be considered an asset
