Senior Account Manager Europe, Middle East, Africa - Education

Position overview

In this role of Senior Account Manager for Europe, the Middle East and Africa, you will lead a small team to grow education sales in your designated territory through increasing regional education events. Reporting to the Director of Education, and working collaboratively with your administrative team to manage customer relationships, you will grow territorial sales and provide superior customer service to Host Training centers.

Proficiency in German, French and/or Spanish are considered strong assets as well as experience working with European markets.

Major responsibilities

  • Along with your team of coordinators, you will be the go-to lead working with Merrithew host training centers in your territory, growing the region to deliver an exceptional educational experience for students throughout Europe, The Middle East and Africa
  • Work collaboratively with the Merrithew Commercial equipment sales team, regional distributor partners and host training center partners to reach or exceed targets, and deliver a full-package product to students
  • With a strategic sales approach, you will generate new sales opportunities through research, collaboration, and trade events with the objective to generate leads and close sales
  • Onboard and guide new host sites offering Merrithew education
  • Review current host training center operations to identify opportunities for business growth
  • Work with existing host centers to plan annual sales calendars to meet territory objectives
  • You will have 1-2 administrative staff under your direct report

Skills and qualifications

  • 5+ years of B2B experience selling services or products to decision makers
  • Strong prospecting and sales conversion skills
  • Able to plan, construct and deliver business proposals and presentations
  • Experience interacting with customers in a sales environment that involves warm-calling, trade show interaction, and/or account management
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, confident, well-spoken, outgoing, proactive and professional
  • Active listener with a consultative approach to understanding client needs
  • Strong time-management and organizational skills
  • Up to 10% travel time to designated territory may be required
  • Enjoy working as part of a team
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
