Digital Marketing Specialist

Position overview

Located at our midtown Toronto location, the Digital Marketing Specialist you will take an active and noticeable role in supporting our digital efforts across all channels and strategic initiatives including ecommerce, organic search, paid digital media, social and email marketing. You are a generalist whose presence benefits any project, and who also understands the intricacies of how each channel contributes to our overall success. You are comfortable taking charge in any task and project thrown your way to ensure we are constantly evolving and improving. To be successful, you will need to be a stickler for detail that thrives in fast-paced cross-functional teams and a problem-solver by nature.

Major responsibilities

  • Lead the planning and execution of digital marketing campaigns including paid search and display, paid social, and organic search channels and track, report and analyze key performance indicators
  • Assist with the creation of go-to-market strategies for product launches; establishing sales targets, key messaging, cross-promotion opportunities, collateral, packaging, sales tools, media outreach and marketing channels
  • Actively monitor and analyze trends, business results and the competitive landscape; identify digital consumer insights and translate insights into action
  • Collaborate with our community and content teams to identify growth opportunities within social and content activities
  • Work with our in-house creative team to submit project requests, provide feedback and offer guidance on best practices that will drive conversions
  • Collaborate with our ecommerce and sales teams to assist with planning promotions, targeted cross-promotions, product features and product review initiatives
  • Utilize knowledge to advocate for and champion new ideas and strategies that will fuel our digital growth
  • Serve as a knowledge expert for internal teams who is able to answer relating to our capabilities, current and upcoming initiatives, and future plans
  • Act as brand officer to understand trademarks and ensure all messaging and initiatives align with our global brand and style guidelines

Skills and qualifications

  • Degree or diploma in business or marketing-related field
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in a similar role for a global organization
  • Analytical, with strong experience using reports to deliver marketing insights and action using Excel, Google Analytics, Google Data Studio, or similar
  • Strong project management skills with experience using Jira, Confluence and Slack or similar preferred
  • Experience building and sending emails with tools such as Mailchimp is an asset
  • Self-starter and detail oriented, with a passion for learning and problem-solving
  • Excellent communicator, with the ability to work collaboratively across multiple teams
  • Strong decision-making skills; ability to identify, prioritize and articulate highest impact initiatives then take action on them
  • Experience in the fitness, health or wellness industries is preferred, but not mandatory
