Digital Marketing Specialist

Position overview

Our rapidly growing digital team is seeking a Digital Marketing Specialist to support our global efforts. The Digital Marketing Specialist plays an active and important role in supporting our digital efforts across all channels and strategic initiatives including organic search, paid digital media, ecommerce, social and email marketing.

Working closely with the Director, Digital Marketing & Ecommerce you are comfortable taking charge in any task and project thrown your way, and who also understands the intricacies of how each channel contributes to our overall success. To be successful, you will need to be a stickler for detail that thrives in fast-paced cross-functional teams and a natural problem-solver.

Major responsibilities

  • Lead the planning and execution of digital marketing campaigns across all channels
  • Day-to-day management and optimization of our paid (SEM) and organic search (SEO) marketing efforts in collaboration with an external agency
  • Monitor, track and report on digital marketing performance to formulate data-driven growth opportunities and strategies
  • Collaborate with MarComm, social, design and development teams to deliver fully-integrated campaigns and identify opportunities for improvement
  • Serve as a knowledge expert for internal teams who is able to answer questions relating to our capabilities, current and upcoming initiatives and future plans
  • Work with our in-house creative team to submit project requests, provide feedback and offer guidance on best practices that will drive conversions
  • Act as brand officer to understand trademarks and ensure all messaging and initiatives align with our global brand and style guidelines

Skills and qualifications

  • Degree or diploma in business or marketing-related field
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in a similar role for a global organization
  • Hands-on experience with reporting and SEO applications such as Google Analytics, Google Search Console, Google Data Studio, Screaming Frog and Moz
  • In-depth understanding of search engines, search engine optimization and the factors that influence high rankings
  • Strong experience running multifaceted global SEM campaigns using Google Ads, Facebook Ads and Microsoft Ads
  • Experience managing external agencies
  • Strong project management skills with experience using Jira, Confluence and Slack or similar preferred
  • Self-starter and detail oriented, with a passion for learning and problem-solving
  • Excellent communicator, with the ability to work collaboratively across multiple teams
  • Strong decision-making skills; ability to identify, prioritize and articulate highest impact initiatives then take action on them
  • Experience in the fitness, health or wellness industries is preferred, but not mandatory
