Assembler/Packer

Position overview

Reporting to the Lead Hand, Assembler & Packer at our manufacturing and distribution center in Scarborough, this role will be responsible for various assembly and packing tasks in relation to exercise equipment.

We’re looking for a candidate with good hand-eye coordination, strong attention to detail and a hard working individual who can easily work alone and in the team when needed.

Major responsibilities

  • Assemble various pieces of fitness equipment for packaging
  • Package various fitness equipment models for shipping
  • Responsible for maintaining workplace organization and housekeeping at a high level
  • Investigate opportunities to increase efficiencies and customer service levels
  • Maintain strong working relationships with all employees in departments by supporting all employees to meet departmental goals and objectives
  • Any other duties assigned

Skills and qualifications

  • 2 - 3 years’ experience in manufacturing, particularly assembly/packing, and quality control
  • Energetic self-starter who works well independently and on a team
  • Demonstrates a professional, positive attitude and possesses a strong, dependable work ethic
  • Efficient with demonstrated, consistent ability to produce high quality and volume of work
  • High School graduate
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
