Account Manager, Hosting

Position overview

Reporting to the Senior Manager, Education Sales, at the Yonge and Eglinton location this role involves working collaboratively with the Hosting Coordinator to manage customer relationships, growing territorial sales and providing superior customer service to designated training centers.

We’re looking for a candidate who can grow education sales in designated territory, has a self-motivated personality that can overcome objections to achieve sales targets and is an active listener with a consultative approach to understanding client needs.

Major responsibilities

  • Review assigned current Host Center operations to identify opportunities for business growth, increase hosting frequencies and stimulate a more diversified program offering as well as equipment sales opportunities
  • Act as the go-to consultant for Host Centers in terms of Merrithew education offerings, program choices and career path for instructors
  • Guide new host sites to through the initial year of providing Merrithew education
  • Follow-up on education leads from education training records, tradeshow leads, referrals from clients, etc
  • Strategic sales: creating sales opportunities through research, attend designated trade events with the objective to generate leads and close sales
  • Act as support for Host Training Centers to correct recruitment advertisements, provide guidance/corrections on use of Merrithew IPs based on company Marketing Guidelines
  • Up to 10% travel time to designated territory may be required
  • Other duties as assigned

Skills and qualifications

  • 5+ years of B2B experience selling services or products to C-level executives or decision makers
  • Able to plan, construct and deliver business proposals and presentations
  • Experience interacting with customers in a sales environment that involves warm-calling, trade show interaction, and/or account management
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, fluency with Korean language is an asset
