Account Manager, Education Sales

Position overview

In the role of Account Manager for Education Sales, you will be responsible for generating revenue of Merrithew branded programming services and education products through hosting facilities. Reporting to the Senior Manager, Education Sales and with the support of the Hosting Coordinators, provide superior customer service and flawless execution in the coordination and administration of the education programs offered at host facility training centers.

Major responsibilities

  • Maximizing sales results by strategy formulation, business analysis, planning, marketing and execution required to grow Merrithew branded programming education revenues through host training centers.
  • Strategy formulation with collaboration of Senior Manager, Education Sales.
    • Analysis of current competitive market and identification of sales opportunities for host training centers.
    • Develop business building strategies for increasing training center activity.
    • Analyze current programs and workshops offered at host training centers and make recommendations for continuous improvement.
  • Business planning, marketing and sales with collaboration of Senior Manager, Education Sales.
    • Meet Education Sales annual revenue and contribution goals for hosting, with increased responsibility for overseeing the schedule ad flow of courses and workshops offered in markets not services by Licensed Training Centers within the assigned territory.
    • Plan yearly budget/ revenue goals for assigned territory training centers accounts and course materials.
    • Increased responsibility for new marketing strategies to reach our target audiences within the assigned territory.

Skills and qualifications

  • 5+ years’ experience in sales.
  • Experience or knowledge of Merrithew Education Services and products an asset.
  • Experience interacting with customers in a sales environment that involves cold-calling, warm-calling, trade show interaction, demand creation and/or account management.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, additional languages an asset.
  • Able to construct and deliver business proposals and presentations.
  • Ability to travel to site locations and/or trade shows across North America as needed.
  • A highly driven, self-motivated personality who shows perseverance and can overcome objections to achieve sales targets in a results-oriented environment.
  • Adept at up-selling and cross-selling to increase overall sales and profitability.
  • Excellent planning and organization skills required
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite; PowerPoint and Excel specifically.
