Moira’s warm-up exercises for cyclists for World Bicycle Day

Established in 2018 by the United Nations, June 3 is World Bicycle Day, a day to recognize the health, environmental and poverty reduction benefits of the bicycle.

In celebration, Co-founder and Master Instructor Trainer Moira Merrithew, an avid cyclist herself, put together these warm-up exercises from the STOTT PILATES®, ZEN•GA®, and CORE Athletic Conditioning & Performance Training repertoires to help cyclists stay in shape and build strength and resiliency for when they get back in the saddle.

These exercises will help you maintain a strong and stable torso position on your bike for efficient and effective breathing; hydrate your whole fascial system; and build power in your legs and mobility in your hips and joints for a smooth and strong cadence.
