Find your Path in Pilates Reformer Training

The Reformer is an exquisite piece of equipment that has myriad benefits for exercisers of all levels of ability and fitness, and learning to use it effectively requires training.

What kind of training best suits your needs?

Fitness professionals
For those who are already working in the fitness industry, or those who want the benefits of Certification, the STOTT PILATES® Intensive Program (Level 1) and Advanced Reformer Program offer the choice of focusing on the Reformer, while learning the Essential and Intermediate repertoires.

STOTT PILATES Intensive Program (Level 1)

Intended for those already working in the fields of fitness or movement, or those who have completed the Functional Anatomy course and meet the Pilates class requirements.

Intensive Reformer is offered in two modules:

  • IR1 – Module 1
    This module provides the solid foundation and skills needed to develop effective personal training programs. Students will learn to design and teach programs using the Essential portion of the Level 1 repertoire with 74 unique exercises plus multiple modifications and progressions.

    The module includes:

    • 30 hours of instruction and supervised teaching
    • Minimum 6 hours observation
    • Minimum 25 hours physical review
    • Minimum 15 hours practice teaching
  • 1R2 – Module 2
    This module expands on the foundation and skills developed in the first segment as students learn to design programs incorporating the Intermediate repertoire. Learn 65 unique exercises plus multiple modifications and progressions.

    This module includes:

    • 20 hours of instruction and supervised teaching
    • Minimum 4 hours observation
    • Minimum 15 hours physical review
    • Minimum 10 hours practice teaching

Advanced Program

Beginning with a review of relevant Level 1 Essential and Intermediate exercises, students learn to apply STOTT PILATES biomechanical principles to exercises that require a higher degree of strength, balance and coordination.
