Laureen DuBeau

Laureen is an integral member of a dynamic team responsible for the global development and implementation of training and certification programs. Her spirited approach to teaching has made Laureen a vibrant international presenter, trainer and examiner. An NSCA certified Strength & Conditioning Specialist, she began teaching Pilates in 1995 and is now a Merrithew Health & Fitness Master Instructor Trainer specializing in STOTT PILATES®. Laureen is a featured performer and associate producer of many Merrithew Health & Fitness DVDs, the associate editor of numerous teaching manuals and author of articles in several industry publications.Prior to joining Merrithew Health & Fitness, Laureen worked for Tennis Canada where she was responsible for Canadian and international public relations in the capacity of media relations and communications, player relations and event organization. Laureen studied Dance and Physical Education at York University in Toronto where she graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts.

Laurentia Kartika Kavriani

Laurentia was trained in ballet and traditional dance at young age and it is through her passion in body movement that she was intrigued to learn about Pilates. She received her STOTT PILATES® certification in 2012 and became a certified Instructor Trainer for Merrithew Health & Fitness™ specializing in STOTT PILATES in 2014. She is now teaching clients at Vitruvian Pilates Studio, a Licensed Training Centre in Jakarta, Indonesia. Along with the STOTT PILATES method, Laurentia is also qualified in CORE™ Athletic Conditioning & Performance Training™ and Total Barre™.

LeeAnn Silvey


Richmond, Viriginia USA

In 1997, LeeAnn began working with the prevention, emergency care, maintenance and rehabilitation of athletic injury, then spent two years instructing in the Athletic Training Program at James Madison University in Virginia. Pilates became her passion in 2004, and in 2007 she became an Instructor Trainer for Merrithew Health & Fitness™ specializing in STOTT PILATES. The same year, she joined Balance Pilates Training Center as an instructor. LeeAnn’s education includes a BS in Sports Medicine from the State University of New York at Cortland and an MS in Exercise Physiology from James Madison University. She has been working in the fitness industry for over a decade with a variety of certifications including NATA Athletic Trainer, ACE Personal Trainer and AFAA Group Exercise Instructor and is also an IT for ZENGA™ Matwork. LeeAnn enjoys working with an individual’s needs, and loves sharing her knowledge and skills of instruction to her clients and students.

Lesley Spalding

Balance: Pilates Training Center
Richmond, Virginia USA

Lesley received her STOTT PILATES® certification in 2008 and became an Instructor Trainer for Merrithew Health & Fitness™ specializing in STOTT PILATES in 2009. Her education also includes an Associate’s Degree in Business Administration from Northern Virginia Community College. Lesley’s experience in the fitness industry spans over 20 years and she holds certifications that include AFFA Primary, Yogafit Level 1 & 2, and ReFlex Aerial Yoga. In addition to teaching STOTT PILATES education, Lesley works as a PLC Provider at Back in Motion Physical Therapy and she is partnered with National Multiple Sclerosis Society as an MS Movement Specialist.   Lesley directs the impressive “Art of Movement” Program at The Workhouse Arts Center, and whether working in a private setting, teaching a STOTT PILATES course or workshop, she loves sharing her knowledge from her training with others.

Leslie Braverman

Pacific Northwest Pilates Education

Leslie was a 15 year professional dancer when she was led to the STOTT PILATES® because of an injury and credits the method for prolonging her career. Leslie became a Certified Instructor in 1997 and an Instructor Trainer for Merrithew Health & Fitness™ in 2002. She was most recently awarded the designation of Lead IT for STOTT PILATES, which qualifies her to mentor other Instructor Trainers around the world. Throughout her dance career, she performed with the Cleveland San Jose Ballet, Oregon Ballet Theatre and BODYVOX.  As a young dancer, she was a student of The North Carolina School of the Arts and was awarded the 1988 Peabody Scholarship Award for Excellence. Leslie loves utilizing her experience to train dancers, athletes, fitness clients and aspiring instructors. She has been co-owner of Pacific NW Pilates since its launch in 2001, and takes a primary role in managing and marketing the studio.
