Sheri’s first career was as a college professor after earning a Ph.D. from Harvard University. She loved teaching, but her passion was with sport and wellness rather than economics. She began training in Pilates in 2002, and although her interest in sports shifted, her dedication to Pilates persisted. Sheri loved how it improved her performance in all sports, and Pilates proved invaluable when rehab was required for running injuries. In 2007, she became certified in STOTT PILATES®, and in 2012, she moved on to become an Instructor Trainer for Merrithew Health & Fitness™ specializing in STOTT PILATES Mat & Reformer. She then added Total Barre™ and CORE™ Instructor Trainer qualifications in 2013 and 2014. Building on her love of teaching and coaching students, clients and athletes, she holds ACE certifications in personal training and health coaching, and is a running coach for USA Track & Field.
