The STOTT PILATES® Faculty, or members of our esteemed team of Instructor Trainers, is made up of highly qualified and internationally sought-after educators who are known for their dedication, professionalism and attention to detail.   All of our faculty members hold full certification in the STOTT PILATES method and have achieved additional designations to complement their training. A diverse group, they come from various backgrounds including physical therapy, exercise science, athletic therapy, dance and group and personal fitness training to name a few. Every member of the team strives to uphold the highest standards of training that have been developed worldwide.

Elisha Elliott

While completing her Journalism degree in Australia, Elisha found Pilates and fell in love! She spent her college breaks taking multiple classes and she eventually studied to become a Fully Certified STOTT PILATES® Instructor as well as a Cert IV Personal Trainer. The STOTT PILATES method of exercise and contemporary approach to mind-body fitness peaked Elisha’s interest and so in 2012, she was accepted into the STOTT PILATES Instructor Trainer Program at the headquarters in Toronto. Currently an Instructor Trainer for MERRITHEW™ specializing in STOTT PILATES, CORE™ Athletic Conditioning & Performance Training™,  and ZEN•GA™. She continues to attend a variety of courses and workshops to make sure her knowledge is always up-to-date.

Elizabeth Cooper

Elizabeth became a STOTT PILATES® Certified Instructor in 2000, and moved on to become an Instructor Trainer for MERRITHEW™ specializing in STOTT PILATES in 2003.  A graduate of the Senior Professional Program of the School of Contemporary Dancers, Elizabeth is the co-director of Momentum Arial & Acrobatic Troupe, and is also an aerial dance performer and choreographer.   In addition to her STOTT PILATES instructing, Elizabeth specializes in teaching and performing aerial silks, hoop, hammock, and static trapeze.

Beth is a fully certified STOTT PILATES® instructor, an Instructor Trainer for MERRITHEW™ specializing in STOTT PILATES, and owner of New Strength Pilates in Missouri City Texas.  She has been in the fitness business for the past 15 years as a both a group fitness instructor and personal trainer, and is certified to teach Total Barre™, and ZENGA™ Mat and Equipment. She has taught and certified in Weight Lifting, Yoga, step, Kick Box, Spin, aquatics and every type of exercise on the Stability Ball. Her education and experience span many other modalities including Breast Cancer Exercise Specialist and a Lay Responder teaching CPR/AED for The ARC. She completed her training in Muscle Activation Technique, Jumpstart Program in Lower Extremities, Upper Extremities and Spine and Trunk, is an AFAA Group Fitness instructor, Melt Method Instructor (hand & foot, roller and strength), and TRX instructor. CranioSacral Therapy is one of her most recent endeavors along with working on her certification as a Restorative Exercise Specialist.

Eric is an Instructor Trainer for MERRITHEW™ who specializes in STOTT PILATES®. With a 15+ year addiction to Pilates and 20+ year devotion to yoga, Eric loves to help people reach their full potential.  He is a fully certified Patanjali Yoga Instructor, Yamuna Body Rolling Instructor, ACE and NASM Personal Trainer, who graduated Suma Cum Laude twice earning a BS in Psychology and then a BFA in Dance.  He works at Asphalt Green Battery Park City in NYC and loves helping people from all walks of life find the inner chutzpah needed to make lasting positive change.

Erica Loder

Erica moved to Portland in 2004 where she worked as an orthopedic and sports physical therapist seeing patients of all ages and fitness levels. She turned to STOTT PILATES® following a spinal surgery and has since made it an integral component of her physical therapy practice. Working with clients at Element Wellness and Sports Rehabilitation and at Pacific NW Pilates in Portland, OR, Erica is able to teach the therapeutic application of STOTT PILATES. In 2014 she received the honor of becoming a Rehab Instructor Trainer for MERRITHEW™, specializing in Rehab STOTT PILATES.

Erica earned a BS in Exercise Physiology from Montana State University in 2002 where she was a member of the women’s golf team, a student athletic trainer for the MSU football team, became an AFAA certified aerobics and personal fitness instructor, and was trained in Olympic weightlifting. She became a Certified Athletic Trainer in 2002 and earned her Master’s in Physical Therapy from the Mayo School of Health Sciences in 2004, and a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist in 2006.
