Laureen DuBeau

Communications Director, Education for Merrithew Health & Fitness™, Laureen is an integral member of a dynamic team responsible for the global development and implementation of training and certification programs. Her spirited approach to teaching has made Laureen a vibrant international presenter, trainer and examiner. An NSCA certified Strength & Conditioning Specialist, she began teaching Pilates in 1995 and is now a Merrithew Health & Fitness Master Instructor Trainer specializing in STOTT PILATES® and CORE Athletic Conditioning & Performance Training. Laureen is a featured performer and associate producer of many Merrithew Health & Fitness DVDs, the associate editor of numerous teaching manuals and author of articles in several industry publications.

Prior to joining Merrithew Health & Fitness, Laureen worked for Tennis Canada where she was responsible for Canadian and international public relations in the capacity of media relations and communications, player relations and event organization. 

Laureen studied Dance and Physical Education at York University in Toronto where she graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts.

Lesley Spalding

Lesley received her STOTT PILATES® certification in 2008 and became an Instructor Trainer in February 2009. Her education also includes an Associate’s Degree in Business Administration from Northern Virginia Community College. Lesley’s experience in the fitness industry spans over 20 years and she holds certifications that include AFFA Primary, Yogafit Level 1 & 2, and ReFlex Aerial Yoga. In addition to teaching STOTT PILATES education, Lesley works as a PLC Provider at Back in Motion Physical Therapy and she is partnered with National Multiple Sclerosis Society as an MS Movement Specialist.   Lesley directs the impressive “Art of Movement” Program at The Workhouse Arts Center, and whether working in a private setting, teaching a STOTT PILATES course or workshop, she loves sharing her knowledge from her training with others.

Leslie Braverman

Leslie was a 15 year professional dancer when she was led to the STOTT PILATES® because of an injury and credits the method for prolonging her career. Leslie became a Certified Instructor in 1997 and was most recently awarded the designation of Lead Instructor Trainer, which qualifies her to mentor other Instructor Trainers around the world. Throughout her dance career, she performed with the Cleveland San Jose Ballet, Oregon Ballet Theatre and BODYVOX.  As a young dancer, she was a student of The North Carolina School of the Arts and was awarded the 1988 Peabody Scholarship Award for Excellence. Leslie loves utilizing her experience to train dancers, athletes, fitness clients and aspiring instructors. She has been co-owner of Pacific NW Pilates since its launch in 2001, and takes a primary role in managing and marketing the studio.

Lisa Kaye

Originally from the UK, Lisa is a former member of the British National Gymnastic Squad. Now based in Sydney, she has been teaching health & fitness for over 15 years. She is a STOTT PILATES® Instructor Trainer, a registered fitness leader and an ACSM (American College of Sports Medicine) Certified Health & Fitness Specialist. Lisa teaches STOTT PILATES courses & workshops in Australia and has her own Pilates studio in Sydney that specializes in private Pilates training.

Lisa Lewis

Lisa became a STOTT PILATES® Certified Instructor in 2006 and an Instructor Trainer in 2011. She is an ISCA certified personal trainer, TRX trained, and is also a certified breast cancer exercise specialist. Lisa earned her Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in dance with Honors and Highest Distinction from the University of Iowa in 2006.  Lisa enjoys working with a wide range of Pilates clients; from those recovering from surgery to highly conditioned athletes.  In addition to teaching Pilates, Lisa dances and performs professionally with Hurley & Dancers, a modern dance company in Des Moines, and teaches dance to a variety of levels and ages.
