MH&F is seeking an Intermediate Web Developer to join the Marketing & Communications team.

Position Overview

MH&F’s digital presence and website is an important channel for educating the industry, communicating with our customers and supporting our worldwide partners. The Intermediate Web Developer is responsible for managing the development of a large, multi-brand corporate and e-commerce website. This includes but is not limited to creating static and dynamic web pages, developing custom tools and controls, timely updates, making sure links are functional and the website is user-friendly.

Highly competent communication and interpersonal skills are required for this position, as you will directly interface with multiple stakeholders, including Senior Management and within the Marketing & Communications team on a daily basis.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Create and maintain Company web pages based on direction from Marketing/Design, using Sitefinity custom control development on ASP.NET 4 with SQL Server 2005 as backend
  • Maintain and enhance web integration with 3rd party e-commerce, CRM system and financial systems
  • Apply knowledge of industry trends and developments and provide advice on the development of new or enhanced functionality in the application portfolio to support business processes and future growth
  • Create and maintain support and process documentation, and provide status and summary reports
  • Work with SEO/SEM specialists to implement SEO best-practices and SEM campaigns
  • Act as a technical resource to the Marketing & Communications department and liaise with the IT Department on relevant technical issues
  • Assist in executing e-marketing strategies including tracking and reporting measures
  • Adhere to deadlines by using excellent time management skills, with the ability to prioritize work and multi-task with competing user demands
  • Adhere to coding, communication and branding standards of the company as well as industry best-practices
  • Oversee and provide guidance to Junior Web Developer in managing daily updates, maintenance of promotional banners, landing pages, etc.

Required Skill Set:

  • 3-5 years of web development experience using C# / ASP.NET 4.0
  • Experience with SQL Server, ADO.NET, Entity Framework, LINQ
  • Knowledge of secure coding practices, familiarity with PCI DSS an asset
  • Knowledge of version control (SVN)
  • Knowledge of HTML/​HTML5, CSS, JavaScript / AJAX / jQuery / Kendo UI
  • Knowledge of ASP.NET based CMS; experience with Sitefinity and Iciniti an asset
  • Ability to manage IIS server and other server software
  • Ability to work on and manage multiple projects at one time, including former supervisory experience (managing a Jr. Developer)
  • Experience working with Adobe Photoshop, Dreamweaver
  • Strong understanding and experience with cross-browser development and responsive design
  • Experience with integration with Moneris payment solutions, PayPal

Experience Considered to be an Asset but not required:

  • Familiarity executing e-marketing strategies
  • Lasso experience
  • Strong business acumen – able to take business objectives and translate them into technical solutions
